Salvage Sisters in Burlington NC – A Vintage Paradise
Seeking French Country Inspiration
January 6, 2024 – It’s a cold, rainy Saturday morning. What’s a girl to do? I need to get out and ramble a bit. The gorgeous antique cabinet I found at Living Free in December becomes my muse. My first thought is to find a place where I can browse, maybe find some inspiration for my French Country décor I’m working on for this month at the Tobacco Stick Cottage.
Salvage Sisters Never Disappoints
So, where am I going today? Salvage Sisters, a charming shop which offers a unique selection of vintage, antique, handmade, up cycled, and reclaimed furniture, and home décor. It’s a very eclectic shop, which is what I like best about it. They are open every Saturday from 10am – 3pm. I’ve been there many times and I’ve never been disappointed.
Among the many things that caught my eye today were vintage metal garden signs, a farmhouse glass bell jar cloche, bundles of wonderful smelling lavender, sheet music from the 1920’s and 30’s, vintage posters reminding me of the wonderful words of Anne of Green Gables and Charlotte Bronte.
Now, there is another list, a wish list of sorts. Things I saw and imagined in my little Tobacco Stick Cottage… like 9 foot tall church windows with beautiful panes, a French Country farmhouse buffet, and a wooden bread board. I must get out of here! There’s too much good stuff. Oh well, there’s always another Saturday.
Check out the gallery on this page for all the neat stuff I found.
